Amazing property! The photos don’t do it justice. There are two buildings – the tower has all the bedrooms (one of them is on the fourth floor, so be prepared to haul baggage up a gorgeous wooden spiral staircase), and then the villa has a kitchen, dining and hang out area, and access to the pools in the back yard. The pools (one large rectangle and one smaller circular) are not heated, but warm up a little bit in the sun, and are really refreshing. There is a dock to view the lagoon, but we mostly ignored it because the lagoon water is a little gross. Tons of birds and lizards stopped by, but unfortunately so did some mosquitos, so definitely bring your repellent. We hired the chef through Solmar and he was PHENOMENAL. Seriously way better food than most of the restaurants we visited! Someone was on site every morning but Sunday to clean up, restock, and clear out any leaves in the pool, and they were very friendly. Highly recommend this place for your next group vacation!

As other reviewers had said before, this place is much bigger than the photos make it looks. There are essentially two separate compounds on the site, one with bedrooms, and then a large outdoor living rooms with a pool area. Solmar (the company that runs this villa as well as others) helped coordinate our pickup, dinners, and provided groceries upon request in advance. It was a holiday weekend, so they were busy and things could get mixed up occasionally – but overall everything got done and was great. The chef service and dinners I would highly recommend because it was cheaper than anywhere we ate in Cancun, as well as of a higher quality. One annoying thing is you need to pay for everything in cash, and there are no ATM’s nearby, so you need to travel to the house with all the cash – which can be a lot if you coordinate multiple things with them. Would highly recommend it to a group who is looking to stay together outside of the main strip.
